If you need to upload a document to your Betano account, but it is protected with a password or restrictions, our file verification system will not be able to review your document.
You can remove this security by following these steps:
Before you start: Make sure you know the PDF file’s password. Without it, it will not be possible to remove the protection.
Option 1: Using Google Chrome (no programs needed)
- Open the PDF file with Google Chrome.
- Enter the password when prompted.
- Once opened, click the print icon (or press Ctrl + P on your computer).
- Under “Destination,” select Save as PDF.
- Click Save.
The new file will download without a password.
Option 2: Using Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Enter the file’s password.
- Go to File > Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Under “Security Method,” choose No Security.
- Save the file.
Option 3: Using Online Tools
- There are websites that allow you to remove a PDF password.
- Go to a trusted PDF unlocking tool.
- Upload the protected file.
- Enter the password if required.
- Download the file without protection.
Important: If you use online tools, make sure they are trustworthy to avoid exposing your personal information.
Recommendations
- Check that the new PDF works correctly and is unlocked.
