To verify your Betano Peru account, you must submit a clear photo of an official, valid identity document. Identity verification (KYC) protects your account's security and complies with current regulations.
What identity documents does Betano accept to verify my account?
Betano accepts one of these official documents, submitted as a clear and legible photo:
- Peruvian National Identity Document (DNI).
- Valid passport, Peruvian or foreign.
- Residence permit valid in Peru.
What should the photo of my identity document look like on Betano?
The photo must show your original physical document in full and clearly. Meet these requirements:
- Original physical document in color: black-and-white photocopies or screenshots from a computer or cellphone are not accepted.
- Complete document: all 4 corners must be visible, and you cannot cut or crop the edges.
- Both sides: if you use a DNI or Foreigner's Identity Card (CE), submit the front and back.
- Clear image: use good natural lighting and turn off the flash, because reflections and shadows may cover the document number, names, or expiration date.
- Valid document: expired, damaged, or illegible documents are not accepted.
- No edits: do not use editing software or filters, and do not cover any information.
Which details on my document must match my Betano account?
The first and last names on your document must exactly match those registered on your Betano account. If the details do not match, Betano cannot verify your identity.
What file format and size does Betano accept for verification?
Betano accepts files in JPG, PNG, or PDF format, with a maximum size of 10 MB per file.
