If you requested a withdrawal and the funds were returned to your Betano account instead of reaching your payment method, don’t worry. This can happen for several reasons, and in most cases it can be resolved easily.
Common reasons why a withdrawal might be refunded
- Incorrect or incomplete payment method details.
- The selected method doesn’t accept incoming transfers or is not eligible for withdrawals.
- Your card doesn’t support withdrawals or doesn’t have Visa Direct enabled.
- The receiving account is closed or inactive.
- The bank or payment provider rejected the transaction for security reasons.
- The deposit method used doesn’t support withdrawals.
- Your account is not verified yet or you have pending documents to upload.
- The deposited amount was not wagered. As per our Terms and Conditions, Betano may cancel the withdrawal and request that the deposited amount be wagered before it can be transferred.
- A prepaid voucher was used (e.g., Paysafecard) and proof of purchase was not provided or the required rollover (5× with minimum odds of 1.50) was not met.
- For security reasons, the withdrawal was redirected to another method or split into multiple payments, which may result in delays or refunds.
What should you do if this happens?
- Make sure the payment method details are correct.
- Confirm that the method you selected accepts withdrawals.
- Ensure the method is under your name (third-party cards or accounts are not accepted).
- Check your account verification and upload any pending documents.
- Wager the full amount you deposited if it hasn’t been played yet.
- If you used a voucher, have the purchase receipt ready in case it’s requested.
- Go to My Account > Transactions > Withdrawals and submit a new request using a valid method.
