If your deposit was refunded or cancelled, don’t worry. This can happen for several reasons and, in most cases, it’s easy to resolve. Below you’ll find the most common causes and what to do in each case.
Common reasons for a refund or cancellation
- Incorrect details entered (code, reference, amount, etc.).
- Time-out while completing the transaction.
- Insufficient funds in your bank account or e-wallet.
- Technical issues with the bank, payment provider or system.
- Inactivity during the payment process.
- Payment method temporarily unavailable.
- Payment made outside banking hours or on a non-business day.
- Deposit made but no betting activity recorded. Under our Terms and Conditions, funds must be used for gaming purposes. In such cases, Betano may cancel the transaction and return the money to the original method.
- Unauthorised payment methods used, such as third-party, stolen or non-consented cards.
What should I do?
- Check that you followed all the steps correctly.
- Make sure you have sufficient funds and a stable connection.
- Try again with the same method or choose another available one.
- Use only payment methods that are in your name.
Money was debited but I don’t see it in my account – what now?
- Check the transaction status with your bank or e-wallet.
- Wait a reasonable time according to the method used (it may take a few hours).
- Keep the payment receipt.
- If, after that time, the funds are neither credited nor refunded, contact us via the chat button below and we’ll look into it for you.
All deposits must be used for legitimate gaming activity on the platform. If irregular activity is detected, such as movements with no intention to play—the transaction may be cancelled and the funds returned.
